Lantana Shoreditch: The Review

Food and Drink

If Shoreditch knows how to do one thing and one thing well, it’s without a doubt bottomless brunch. The options really are endless; bottomless pizza, themed brunch, you name it! This time, we went for a classic brunch at the Aussie-inspired London café, which meant never-ending prosecco and coffee, and an extremely delicious menu which consisted of specialities from the land down under.

Just a stone’s throw away from Old Street station, this charming venue has a really welcoming and laid-back vibe which enticed us in and got us in the mood for the ‘Lantana Blowout’ – unlimited mimosas AND chai lattes, can it get any better? Well, yes it can because the options on the brunch menu are so much more than your standard smashed avo on sourdough – I went for the ‘Courgette bread toasted with halloumi, sweetcorn, black eyed bean and tomato salsa, poached egg & spicy chipotle sour cream and added chorizo.’ Does that sound good or what? it was so good that when we asked the waiter what the recipe was, he came back with an entire recipe book with the page bookmarked for us, that’s the kind of service that I like to see! So I will absolutely be making that at home and reliving my Lantana experience!

If I had to describe this bottomless brunch in a few words; more-ish, hospitable and tastefully boozy are the adjectives that spring to mind and I urge you all to scrap your weekend plans and make a booking immediately. Did I mention that this all only cost £35 each, bargain!
